True, this is not
a Stang, or even a Ford for that matter. While stationed in
Japan, I owned this 1987 Toyota Soarer. It's pretty much the
Stang of Japan, that and the Nissan Skyline. Both, the Skyline
and the Soarer, were not exported. The Soarer is now exported as
the Lexus SC400.
The 1987 Toyota Soarer shared many
traits as the Toyota Supra. The interior and engine were very
similar. The engine was a Twin Turbo Intercooled 3.0L DOHC.
It had a digital dashboard, digital computer controlled climate control,
and electronic adjustable transmission (economy, normal, and power).
